ABOUT US
The bed and breakfast is located in a historical building, the Medici Soderini palace, in San Frediano, right in the center of Florence, in Tuscany. It is inside the ZTL zone, along the Arno river and few minutes far from all the most important museums, buildings, gardens and other places with historical and artistic interest all around.
The name of the bed and breakfast recalls two ancient and important families of the history of Florence who were owners of the building.
The bed & breakfast has been recently renovated and combines the convenience of services such as large bedrooms and bathrooms, fiber for the wi-fi, a home automation system and an equipped kitchen, with the ancient character of the building.
The place is also very quiet so your stay will be very relaxing.
Following the COVID-19 emergency we have put in place all the safety and hygiene procedures to make your stay safe and comfortable.

An Italian breakfast is included in the room cost. Fresh croissants, schiacciata, rusks with jam and butter, fresh orange juice, milk, yogurt, tea, seasonal fruits and a good cup of coffee are provided every morning
Kitchen
An equipped and large common kitchen will allow you to enjoy your breakfast and cook as if you were at home. It has everything you need for any eventuality!
Maps and parking
We provide maps of the historical center and give advice including any type, from the historical-cultural aspect to restaurants and shops, from taxi service to bus information, to any other practical need. We are also affiliated with some garages to park your car

The district
In the San Frediano district the truest part of the historical center is still alive, that's the less touristy and more authentically Florentine zone. It is dotted with shops and box offices of all kinds, clubs, restaurants, trattorias and, of course, monuments of great interest. You are in the heart of Florence without being immersed in the confusion of tourist flows
Historical sites
We are 10 minutes far from: Uffizi, Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, Santa Maria Novella, Duomo, Del Carmine church, Accademia Gallery and all other places of historical and artistic interest.
Easily accessible: Maggio Musicale Fiorentino theatre , Fortezza da Basso and Leopolda station
Markets in the squares
In the open air market of San Lorenzo, near the church of the same name and the Medici Chapels, you will find souvenirs and leather goods.
You can find some other markets in piazza S.Spirito and piazza Santa Croce
Shops
The streets of fashion are around piazza della Repubblica: Via Tornabuoni and via della Vigna Nuova, then via De 'Cerretani, via Roma, via Calzaiuoli.
We also recommend the narrow streets around piazza Santo Spirito and the area around piazza Santa Croce for leather goods and workshops. The Scuola del Cuoio is located in the cloister of the church of the same name
Restaurants and products
In Piazza San Lorenzo, inside the recently restored old fruit and vegetable market, there is a large and well-stocked food market.
Of course, the entire historical center offers excellent restaurants and wine bars, among which we would like to remind you the Pinchiorri wine shop
City events
In June the historical florentine football matches take place and at Easter the famous Scoppio del Carro with a parade of people dressed in medieval costumes is an unmissable event.
We also recommend the spring flowering of the Bardini garden belonging to the homonymous villa and museum
